About the Instructor

Sara Lyon, LPC-S, RYT, began her yogic path in 1990 and has since practiced and studied around the world. An instructor and therapist since 2003, Sara brings an eclectic approach to her “slow flow” classes, integrating breathwork, mindfulness, balance, strength, and flexibility.

Drawing from a variety of teaching traditions, Sara creates thoughtfully structured, predictable sequences that support attunement to the body and mind. Her teaching invites students to practice discomfort with patience while cultivating alignment, breath awareness, and greater capacity—both on and off the mat.

Her classes in the New Orleans Museum of Art (NOMA) Sculpture Garden have become a particularly beloved experience, offering a unique opportunity to practice movement and mindfulness in one of New Orleans’ most inspiring settings.
